Some objects carry memories better than photographs do.

This summer, local jewellery brand from Nizhny Novgorod “Rassvet Detail” turned some very ordinary things - a pea pod, a bean and an old watering can into silver jewellery.

The collection, called At the Dacha, feels less like a seasonal accessories drop and more like a tiny archive of summer childhoods in Eastern Europe: garden beds, old watering cans, vegetables picked straight from the plant and afternoons that seemed to last forever.

There is something especially charming about taking objects this familiar and giving them permanence. A pea pod suddenly becomes jewellery; something usually gone by the end of summer can stay with you much longer.

Maybe that is why nostalgia works so well in design. The object itself can be simple. It is everything attached to it that makes it matter.
